Now, I’m not a wizard who can wave a magic wand and make your problems disappear. But I have spent time studying how to break free from life’s challenges as much as possible. There’s nothing worse than being surrounded by problematic people, and if you find yourself in that situation, it may be time to find a new friend group.
But how do we make sure we don’t become that person ourselves? How do we avoid drowning in life’s challenges and complications? Keep reading—I’ve got you.
1. Start Exercising
“Ugh, really? Everyone says that! And how do I even fit that into my schedule?”
I’m not saying you need to carve out two hours a day for the gym. But I am saying you can take 20 minutes to move your body and take care of yourself. And yes, everyone talks about exercise because it works.
Most people associate working out with the overwhelming idea of spending hours lifting weights, but that’s just not true. If you want to dedicate that much time, great—I love doing it myself. But if that’s not realistic for you, pull up a quick YouTube workout and get it done in your living room. It really is that simple.

2. Scroll Less. Keyword: LESS.
I’m not telling you to completely give up social media—let’s be real, that’s just not realistic nowadays. Our world basically depends on it. But you can start setting boundaries on how much time you spend just sitting and scrolling.
This one was tough for me because a big part of running my businesses relies on social media presence. But when you cut down on mindless scrolling, you give your brain a break from the constant dopamine rush and spend less time comparing yourself to others. And, miraculously, you’ll start finding time for other things… like exercising.
Weird how that works, huh?

3. Spend Time with God Daily
This looks different for everyone. For some, it’s five minutes of meditation. For others, it’s an hour of reading scriptures and reflecting. Regardless of what it means to you, find time for it as often as you can.
This simple habit will train your mind to put faith before worry and set your mindset up to conquer whatever is in front of you. Watch as you slowly start to see your problems slip away.
4. Understand That the Problems Don’t Actually Go Away…
Some do, but in reality, you just get better at handling them! You start to not even see them as problems anymore.
This one isn’t an action step—it’s just the natural result of doing the other steps.
5. Slow Down
I get it. We all have so much to do in a day. And often, it seems like the faster we move, the more we can accomplish.
I’m not saying to clear your schedule and frolic in a field (though honestly, that doesn’t sound too bad). But slow down your movements. Brush your hair a little slower. Wipe the counter slower. Walk a little softer. Spend a few extra seconds watching the sunset. Cut your vegetables slower.
You get my point.
Slowing down like this actually helps regulate your nervous system and makes you feel less stressed.
Again, I can’t magically erase life’s problems, and neither can you. Wouldn’t that be nice, though? But we can make small changes that make life easier and prepare our minds to handle stress better.
I hope you give these a try—let me know how it goes in the comments!
